WYPF in the community

A blue plaque in tribute to Florence White, a committed women's rights and pensions campaigner, was unveiled by WYPF's Assistant Director, Yunus Gajra.

Florence Wright worked tirelessly through the 1930's and 1940's helping to lower the pension age for unmarried women. You can find her plaque outside the Bradford Mechanics Institute Library.

The team had an amazing time at the 2024 Dragonboat Festival, competing in three races and securing a commendable 7th place. Despite a capsize in race 3, the day was filled with fun, teamwork, and great company. We're thrilled to say that we raised £1,715 for Bradford Hospitals Charity. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and roll on next year!
