WYPF appoints new CIO
West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF), one of the largest funds in the Local Government Pension Scheme and part of the Northern LGPS Pool, today announces that John Dewey has joined to take up the role of Chief Investment Officer of the c.£20bn fund. Dewey’s previous roles include more than two decades’ experience in senior investment management positions at HSBC Alternatives, Aviva Investors and BlackRock.
On his appointment he said, “I’m delighted to be joining West Yorkshire Pension Fund at an important time for the LGPS. WYPF has a strong in-house investment team and proven track record serving our members and employers. I look forward to building on this and working with our Northern LGPS partners to deliver excellent investment performance, robust governance and value.”
