Investment strategy

WYPF is a large Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, and stands out by managing a significant portion of its assets internally, which has resulted in strong investment performance and cost efficiency.

We have a long-term investment approach, reflecting the duration of our liabilities. We invests in a diverse range of assets, including equities, bonds, private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and alternatives. Approaching half of the portfolio is invested in the UK, supporting domestic business as well as generating investment returns

We have a strong focus on being a responsible asset owner and integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into our strategy. We are a proud signatory of the UK Stewardship Code.
